Wayfinding signage to guide customers from car park to marina
ABW Display recently completed a custom signage package for Boatology, a boat sales and marine services company based on the waterfront in Drummoyne, Sydney.
The brief called for a set of four wayfinding and entry signs, designed to lead customers from the carpark, through a multi-unit complex, and down to the marina landing where the office and boats are located. Clarity and weather resistance were essential, given the exposed location and range of visitor paths.
The Digital print on alupanel signage included:
- Street facing sign on street facing handrail
- Landing-level wayfinding with arrows and clear directional info to mark the right access point
- Entry signage mounted to the marina fence’s batten cladding

All signs were designed, fabricated, and installed by ABW Display, with a focus on durability, accurate placement, and maintaining the site’s existing visual aesthetic.
“A job like this needs more than just signage – it needs signage that makes sense,” said Andrew Boddam-Whetham. “We walked the customer path first, then built signs to match it.”
This project is a strong example of ABW Display’s functional signage solutions for waterfront, commercial, and hard-to-navigate locations.
